Art

The Art Curriculum

In Art at Key Stage 2, pupils will delve into a diverse array of topics such as Famous Buildings, Plant Art, Sonia Delaunay, William Morris, Landscape Art, Frida Kahlo, Express Yourself, Chinese Art, Seurat, Recycled Art, Sculpting Vases, and Street Art. Through these themes, our pupils will gain an appreciation for different art forms and styles, nurturing their artistic expression.

As pupils transition into Key Stage 3, our curriculum offers engaging projects centred around Bugs, Coat of Arms, Creative Design, Jon Burgerman, Express Yourself, Street Art, and Sweets. These projects are designed to challenge and stimulate our pupils, fostering their creativity and critical thinking skills.

At Chasetown Community School, we are dedicated to fostering a comprehensive understanding of art by focusing on key elements such as line, tone, texture, colour, pattern, form, shape, and space. By honing these skills, our pupils will develop a strong foundation in art principles that will serve them well beyond the classroom.
