School uniform policy

In reviewing current uniform, consideration has been made to:
- Reduce the number of branded items
- The cost of a uniform becoming a financial burden
- Avoiding changes between autumn/winter uniform and summer uniform
- Reinforcing the use of the school uniform colour of blue
- Standardising uniform for wear by all genders
- The number of branded items has been reviewed to minimise the overall number of items between uniform and PE kit
- Options provided for PE kit and school uniform, taking into account both costs and pupils with sensory issues
- We encourage the use of second-hand uniform and have a supply of items available at no cost within school
- A review is being made on where to locate a pre-owned uniform swap shop in the school
Note that our school logo branded items are only available from our supplier, A & J Designs (see below). Non-logo branded can be purchased from any other clothing suppliers, etc. supermarkets online.
Required items of uniform are as follows:
- White or pale blue polo shirt (school logo optional - available from our supplier)
- Black/grey trousers/skirt (available from our supplier)
- Royal blue sweat shirt or cardigan (optional in warm weather, school logo optional, available from our supplier)
- Suitable school footwear such as shoes (preferably not trainers)
Optional - pupils at KS3 can choose to wear a black blazer (not available from our supplier)
Winter/cold/wet weather items:
- Coat or fleece (school logo optional, both available from our supplier)
Required items for P.E.:
- Plain T-shirt of any colour (white or blue preferred but not required, school logo optional. Available from our supplier)
- Shorts (preferably black but any plain ones accepted. School logo optional. Available from our supplier)
- Pumps/trainers (preferably plain, pumps available from our supplier)
- Bag to keep P.E. kit in (any type of bag is fine, school branded bags available from our supplier)
Required for swimming:
- Any 1 piece costume or trunks (not shorts)
- Towel
Optional - Swimming hat and/or goggles.
