The Religious Education Curriculum

The Religious Education (RE) curriculum is taught in our school to provide all pupils with a comprehensive understanding and appreciation of various religious and non-religious worldviews. We follow the Staffordshire Agreed Syllabus 2023-2028. Our aim is to foster an inclusive and respectful environment, encouraging pupils to engage in critical thinking, develop empathy, and be able to articulate their own beliefs and values. We believe that RE plays a vital role in promoting social cohesion, cultural understanding, and an appreciation for diversity in our increasingly global society.

If parents exercise their right to withdraw their child from R.E. lessons, alternative learning activities will be provided, and the child will either carry these out in the classroom or within another class.
