We would like to invite parents/carers and your child to attend a Working Together session on Monday 13th March
between 6:00pm – 7:30pm, where there will also be an opportunity to meet with your child’s classroom staff and
participate in some class-based activities. The focus of the evening will be reading.

The timetable for the evening will be as follows: -

6.00pm-6.30pm – staff, parents/carers and pupils to meet in the hall where refreshments will be available for an
introduction to how we support and encourage reading in school.
6.30pm-7.30pm – staff, parents/carers and pupils will attend three workshops focusing on three areas of: -
• Reading for Pleasure
• Read, Write, Inc phonics
• Reading at Home

We shall also be holding a Scholastic book fair where there be the opportunity to view and purchase books during the
evening. There will also be the chance for pupils visit the book fair during the school days with their class.
